Overview
The Sustainable Forestry Initiative® was developed to help clients balance silvicultural decisions with environmental regulations in order to create a healthy, working forest.

With SFI Inspector, users can assess silvicultural activities such as site prep, logging and road construction to document their compliance with regulations governing streamside management zones (SMZs) and best management practices (BMPs).
Created as a hand-held application to facilitate field data collection, the SFI Inspector feeds directly into the Forester's Desktop system to provide a deeper level of detail. Once data are imported into Forester's Desktop, stand-level records can be viewed with ease, and permanent copies for satisfying SFI compliance can be printed out or stored electronically.
