Overview
The FP Manager helps landowners answer critical questions and improve management decisions by recording and reporting changes in their investment portfolios.
Split into functional modules, FP Manager handles many financial data management and reporting issues and can subsequently tie into conventional general ledger accounting systems. Modules include:
- Portfolio – including inventory estimates at various land-level summaries and growth and removals;
- Sales – including general timber sales data; timber settlement reconciliation and budgeting; trend analysis (price, yield, and market); inspections and archiving; and queries of comparable timber sales;
- Stand Activities – including classification and analysis of user-specific stand activities and accounting information (such as vendor, budget and costs);
- Stand Attributes – including user-specified classification of stand characteristics;
- Accounting – including user-defined budgets; timber settlement system; accounts payable and receivable; purchase order system; and bank transaction, reconciliation and auditing reports;
- GIS – including linkage with spatial data for periodic or live updates to other GIS programs;
- Administration – including user and property configuration as well as security features
These modules work either in stand-alone or combined applications and interact within a common software menu framework.
